Celebrating 10 Years In Business
September is a big month here at O’Herlihy Access Consultancy. We are celebrating 10 years in business this month and look forward to continuing to service our clients – new and old. It all started back in September 2007 from the kitchen table with our first two contracts including working for the National Disability Authority and becoming a training provider for the Local Government Management Services Board. This led to OHAC providing training to over twenty Local Authorities around Ireland.
Since 2007 there have been many positive changes to improve accessibility in Ireland including the introduction of the Disability Access Certificates application process, the revision of Building Regulations (Part M 2010), the introduction on several National Disability Strategy Implementation Plans and new legislation around equality and human rights.
We are delighted that OHAC has continued to grow over the past 10 years in Ireland and is now the leading specialist in access consultancy and training in Ireland.
Our clients include the National Disability Authority, the European Commission; Dublin Castle, The O’Toole Partnership; BAM Ireland; Global Student Accommodation; Atelier Property; DMOD Architects; The Health Service Executive; University College Cork; The Department of Education and Skills; McMahon Goldrick Solicitors; John Sisk and Sons; European Network for Accessible Tourism; RKD Architects; National Standards Authority of Ireland; Microsoft; the Irish Wheelchair Association; Age Friendly Ireland; Kennedy Wilson; Dublin City Council; Henry J Lyons Architects; Dublin Institute of Technology and the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government.
As always, our goal is to make services and buildings accessible for everyone and we will continue to work in partnership with national and international clients to ensure that their built environment, services, human resources and information provision are accessible to all staff and customers regardless of age, size or disability.
Here’s to the next 10 years!
