National Disability Authority’s Centre for Excellence in Universal Design publishes guidelines entitled “Building for Everyone: A Universal Design Approach”.
The 2002 version of Buildings for Everyone has been replaced by a new publication “Building for everyone - A Universal Design Approach”. The National Disability Authority Centre for Excellence in Universal Design (CEUD) launched a series of booklets entitled Building for Everyone: A Universal Design approach on Thursday 23rd February 2012. The launch was hosted by Peter McKevitt of the National Disability Authority and attended by guest speakers including Phil Hogan, TD, Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government, Michele Fagan, President of the RIAI and Neil Murphy of CEUD.
Building for Everyone: A Universal Design Approach - the guidance in this series of booklets promotes the concept and philosophy of universal design and encourages developers, architects, designers, builders and building managers to be innovative and think creatively about solutions that meet the needs of all building users regardless of their age, size, ability or disability.
