Making services accessible for all
Do you know that OHAC advise on making services accessible for everyone across a wide range of sectors including Education; Healthcare; Tourism; Transport; Arts; Education and the private/public sectors? We are unique in that we take a holistic approach to accessibility and provide advice on:
- Making your information accessible;
- How to improve customer services and accessible service delivery;
- Embedding accessibility into employment policies/procedures;
- Improving access to the built environment;
- Embedding accessibility at all levels within the organisation (e.g. customer charters/action plans, induction and procurement).
We work in partnership with our clients to ensure that your built environment, services, human resources and information provision are accessible to all staff and customers regardless of age, size or disability. Recently our work has included:
- Development of case studies as part of the European Commission's Study on Mapping Skills and Training Requirements for Accessible Tourism.
- Development of an Accessible Information Policy and Plan for University College Cork.
- Access advice, auditing and assistance as part of the Arts and Disability Networking Initiative in Cork.
- Accessibility review of the services being provided by Dublin City Council.
- Development of a training module for a national transport provider and delivery of a train the trainer programme.
- Facilitation and training for a local Disability Consultation Group in the development of their 2015-2017 Action Plan.
- Disability, Equality and Awareness Training for front of house staff assisting in Irelands hosting of the Presidency of the Council of European Union.
