The toolkit provides guidance on how to enhance customer communications with members of the public ensuring that all services are accessible meeting the needs of all customers. The toolkit is based on an Universal Design Approach and identifies how customer communications should be easy to access, understand, and use.
In order to help inform design the toolkit is delivered in three main sections;

- Verbal Communication (e.g. face to face, meeting and events).
- Digital communication (e.g. Writing for the web, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, Online forms, Content Quality).
Each section contains selected statements, examples, tips, checklists and links. To learn more in order to assist in making design decisions, communiciation design question sets are provided.
