What is Universal Design?
Universal Design is a strategy which aims to make the design and composition of different environments and products accessible, understandable and usable by everyone in the most independent and natural manner as possible without the need for adaptation or specialised design solutions.
When the Disability Act came into law in Ireland in 2005, it specified that Universal Design must be written into Irish Government policy.
