Review of Part B (Fire Safety) of the Building Regulations 1997-2011
The Department of Environment, Community and Local Government is currently reviewing Part B of the Building Regulations 1997-2011 and it is envisaged that Part B and the associated Technical Guidance Document B will be amended by mid 2013.
As part of the process the Department is participating in an initial public consultation and the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, Mr. Phil Hogan,T.D now invites submissions:
identifying those elements in Part B (Fire Safety) of the Building Regulations and Technical Guidance Document (TGD) B which require amendment/revision; and;
specific proposals for changes in the elements identified at (1) above.
The deadline for submissions on this initial consultation is the 24th February 2012 and to assist in the preparation of a submission the Department has prepared a number of commenting forms.
